Wastewater Treatment Basic Course ($150)

The wastewater treatment basic course is designed for entry level students preparing for lower levels of wastewater treatment certification and those operators employed at small wastewater treatment systems. See our brochure.

Basic Mathematics for Water and Wastewater ($80)

Math can be very imtimidating. Has is been a long time since you've taken a math course? Have you forgotten a lot of what you learned in high school or college? Are there some concepts that never really made sense? The purpose of this course is to refresh your memory of some basic math concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand way.

Kentucky Operator Ethical Standards – What You Need To Know ($30.00)

This professional operator ethics course is provided as a continuing education opportunity for KENTUCKY OPERATORS ONLY. This course includes a review of specific regulatory professional requirements for Kentucky’s certification program. The course provides a maximum of three continuing education hours for water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collection system operators. This course is NOT approved for continuing education for operators in any state other than Kentucky. Check back in the near future for a “general ethics” course which will provide continuing education for operators in other states.

Activated Sludge ($30.00)

This 3 hour course is a review of the activated sludge process. Included in the course are various types of activated sludge processes, process control and troubleshooting information, sludge age, food to microorganism ratio, sludge volume index, and organic loading calculations.

Understanding Your Source Water ($10.00)

This course is relevant to water treatment and water distribution system operators. It covers the various sources of drinking water, protection of source waters, contaminants, U.S. EPA MCL levels and what they mean, source water characteristics, and responsibility for protection of source waters.

Applied Mathematics For Wastewater ($100)

This course reviews math calculations related to wastewater treatment. The course is designed to be a comprehensive review of wastewater calculations for those preparing for certification exams and those who wish to refresh their math skills. This course provides a maximum of 7 continuing education hours.

Applied Mathematics for Water Treatment and Distribution Systems ($100)

This course is designed for the student who needs additional study with more advanced water treatment and distribution system mathematical concepts. Students preparing for higher level certification examinations and any certified water treatment and/or distribution system professional can benefit from the material covered in this training course. Students who register for this training should have a basic understanding of mathematics and concepts such as rounding, averaging, percentages, etc. If the student needs a review of basic math skills, we recommend the Basic Water and Wastewater Mathematics Course be taken prior to this course.

Wastewater Treatment Advanced Course ($225)

The wastewater treatment advanced course is designed for students who operate large wastewater treatment systems and those seeking the highest levels of certification. Students enrolled in the advanced course should be well versed in general wastewater treatment processes before registering for this course. Check back with us frequently for the release date of the course.

Surface Water Treatment Basic Course ($150.00)

The Basic Surface Water Treatment Course is designed for entry level surface water treatment professionals, and water treatment specialists employed at smaller surface water facilities seeking a refresher for continuing education purposes.

Surface Water Treatment Advanced Course ($225.00)

This Surface Water Treatment Advanced Course is designed for students who operate large wastewater treatment systems, and those seeking higher levels of certification. Students enrolled in the advanced course should be well versed in the basics of surface water treatment processes before registering for this course. If the student needs a refresher in less advanced surface water treatment techniques, we suggest enrolling in the Basic Surface Water Treatment Course before taking this advanced course.
